About

ALISON WATSON

I am a BACP registered Counsellor (684847), with a BA Honours Degree in Counselling.  I have over 6 years experience and have completed well over 2000 counselling hours, in private practice and charity counselling centres including through the Shinewater Shaftesbury Centre in Eastbourne, Fegans and Counselling Together in Hampshire

I offer a safe (and confidential), comfortable and quiet space in which to share what is troubling you.  I can help with a wide range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship difficulties, poor self esteem, bereavement, and trauma including sexual and physical abuse.

I work from home, in a Consulting Room, attached to my home in Burton Christchurch in Dorset and in very easy reach of Bournemouth, Christchurch, Highcliffe, New Milton and Bransgore and the surrounding area.  I offer day time and evening appointments to suit you the last appointment starting at 7pm.

Prior to training as a Counsellor, I was a Legal Secretary for over 11 years, some of that time on high profile court cases in a high pressure working environments in London.  I am able to draw on these experiences in understanding the challenges of the workplace, its pressures both relationally and from a workload point of view.

I am married with 2 grown up children and so have an understanding of relationships, some of the pressures of parenthood.
